Walter is our Brazilian veterinarian who works as our pathology and anaesthetic technician. Even though Walter's family have a large cattle farm in Brazil, he has many small animal qualifications that enable him to help keep the veterinary nurses well trained.

Apart for being a great nurse, Amanda is also the person who writes and undertakes our educational programs for children. In a previous life Amanda used to be an English teacher and in her present life loves to go travelling. 

Storm studied with Amanda and also worked for Steve in the past. Storm loves being a small animal surgery nurse even though she has worked with large animals; she even went mustering! Storm is a snow boarder and loves Canada.

Sam studied at Applied Vocational Training before joining us at Ballajura. Sam is very interested in small animal behaviour, especially puppy behaviour and also the behaviour of hospitalised patients. Sam is one of our puppy instructors and runs client education classes with Storm.

We welcome back Pinou who left Ballajura to go travelling (and get married). Pinou is from Holland where she attained her degree in social work. She likes her reception duties as she loves meeting and helping  people (and their pets).

James has a degree in zoology and is working with us at Ballajura to underpin his qualifications with a nursing certificate. James likes pathology and post operative nursing of dogs and especially cats. James will be completing his honours in 2011 and hope to work with cats of the larger variety

Sue manages the nursing staff and occasionally works in every area of the hospital. Sue teaches veterinary nurse students at Applied Vocational Training and is interested in ensuring that all patients get individualised care from our nurses. Apart from her nurses and students, Sue has a special interest in nursing geriatric patients.
