Steve Reid heads the veterinary team and undertakes the major surgery cases; his passion being orthopaedic surgery. Steve also teaches veterinary students from Murdoch and veterinary nursing students. Steve kayaks, skis and enjoys bike riding. Steve is known as the Shar Pei vet due to his understanding of their medical issues and their quirky behaviour!
Dr Daniel Mills has worked with Steve for many years. Dan has a special interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Dan also has a special interest in the West Coast Eagles and his Border Terrier puppy.
Dr Erin Myers has worked with Steve previously to coming to Ballajura with him in January 2009. Erin is a fellow kayaker and also is a keen gardener. Erin is great with birds both large and small and has an interest in ferrets
Dr Louise Beveridge has worked extensively in England and Scotland and brings many ideas and techniques to our vet team. Louise has an avid interest in using the latest diagnostic technology to determine the best treatment options.
Fiona joins us this year after gaining experience in small animal clinics whilst working as a veterinary nurse to fund her veterinary studies at Murdoch University. She enjoys dentistry associated with cats, dogs and small exotic pets and recently undertook some training in South Africa concerning canine diseases. Fiona is our guinea pig expert.
Dr Nicolette Findlay previously worked in another small animal veterinary hospital before joining us at Ballajura. Nic has brought with her a great sense of humour and her interest in mini pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats.
Dr Jennifer Day is one of our part time veterinarians who has a special interest in dog and cat medicine. Jen also plays volley ball for the Australian team and has a personal trainer in the form of Winnie, her one eyed Jack Russell Terrier. Jen is an advocate of weight loss clinics for older dogs
